The TypeLite project required a complete design of the brand’s identity from the ground up. This included the logo design, packaging design, copy writing of product descriptions, and product placement. The simple color palette and the repeating curved line element add to the simplistic look of the product’s packaging. These elements are used throughout the four different box types and the uniquely designed TypeLite bag.
Copper Coils Brewing Co. required a visual identity to properly represent its ambitions and “Steampunk” soul, in a way that would connect with its audience. The use and combination of different materials on the products was essential in staying true to the genre. Each Steampunk themed label (which is an exaggeration of the regular labels) reflects a specific beer, its intensity and color.
The look for Velvet Stem was based around my own orchid photography series. The labels, though they have a secondary design focus of black diagonal bands in strong contrast to the white background, immediately draw the viewer's attention in by the brightly colored orchid. The orchid in the design mirrors a main ingredient used in the Velvet Orchid product line.
Cell phone/tablet stand with custom box design: “Earth friendly” concept for a lightweight pocket/wallet sized stand for mobile devices. Original design laser-cut from discarded matboard scraps. Accordion-like spine allows for flexible movement and bending while maintaining the strength needed to support devices of varying sizes. (Patent pending)
The design was based on the grunge look of the movie’s main characters, three rough looking, gun-slinging southern boys. The Confederate flag element are repeated throughout as well as various scenes from the film. The case is a double gate fold held closed by hidden magnets and therefore, requires no outer sleeve to keep it together.
