Massimo Vignelli said, “good design is a matter of discipline. It starts by looking at the problem and collecting all the available information about it. If you understand the problem, you have the solution. It’s really more about logic than imagination.” This approach to design has always made perfect sense to me. My work is about solving communication problems; the creativity lies in how I solve them. Staying true to this belief allows me to approach a project with the confidence of relying on an effective system. Once the problem is understood, I’m able to focus on creative solutions in a logical way.
As a graphic designer, I live and breathe design. Everything I see, hear, smell, and taste inspires my work. This can include designers such as Massimo Vignelli and Greg Lamarche or even random objects arranged in a particular way. My inspiration is constantly evolving and has been doing so since my first memory. Whether it’s famous works in a museum, or the packaging of a product, good or bad, my experiences and memories affect one another and subsequently, my design work.
My avidity for communicating through visual expression strengthens as I continue to learn and grow as a graphic designer. Through formal art training and years as a graphic designer and communication artist, I have gained valuable experience designing material that demonstrates problem solving and personal expression. My focus is to ensure all of the visuals I produce for a project are speaking with one aesthetic voice and are clearly and most beautifully executed. Helping clients visually convey their message or introduce their brand to the world is a special honor that I take very seriously. Every project is an opportunity to try new creative ideas in solving communication problems and share my passion for design.
WHETHER YOU NEED A DEDICATED DESIGNER OR YOU'D LIKE TO COMMENT ON MY WORK, I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
